MassConn:
A Great Place to Start Your Hockey Career
If you live
in the Massachusetts or Connecticut area and are looking for
a youth hockey program for your son or daughter, I hope you'll
take a moment to consider the MassConn Braves Organization.
We are based out of the newly renovated Springfield, MA Olympia
facility, which features three separate ice rinks and is home
to the MAAC Collegiate Hockey Conference. We will field teams
that range from PeeWee through
Midgets.
We will be entering our
18th season in 2008-09. Our schedule typically includes approximately
60 games and 50 practices with an average of one home and
one away game each weekend. There is a strong emphasis on
hockey fundamentals, especially in practices. Our goal is
to help prepare each individual for the next step in their
hockey career.
The season runs from early
September to the end of March. Each team is independently
run with the intention of playing both NAAHA and USA hockey
registered teams. The Braves Hockey Association offers good
competition, positive attitudes, good sportsmanship, and a
quality coaching staff. We are very proud of our youth and
the accolades they have achieved.
We hope to see you at the
rink.
